  • SEK 136 billion

    Swedbank’s Sustainable Asset Register – comprised of green and social assets – amounts to SEK 136 billion.

  • Net zero by 2050

    The bank’s overarching objective is to reach net zero emissions by no later than 2050 and adapt our lending and investment portfolios to the 1.5˚C target.

  • 340 000 educated children and young adults

    In 2024, Swedbank educated more than 340 000 children and young people through physical and digital events in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Sustainability in business decisions

We take economic, social and environmental aspects into account in our work and business decisions. Our framework for integrating human rights, the environment and anti-corruption into decision-making supports risk management and creates value for our stakeholders.

Swedbank's climate targets

Swedbank has adopted 2030 decarbonisation targets for the lending portfolio. The targets are in line with the global 1.5°C target and have been set for the following sectors: mortgages, commercial real estate, oil & gas, power generation, steel and shipping.
