The bank is cooperating with different associations, forums, committees and networks in its different operations.

The Swedbank Group

Swedbank participates directly and indirectly in several domestic and international bank industry associations, e.g. the Swedish Bankers’ association, The Swedish Securities Dealers Association (SSDA), Insurance Sweden, the European Savings and Retail Banks Group (ESBG), the European banking Federation (EBF) and in the Institute for International Finance (IIF).

Swedbank receive information about the regulatory development relevant for the bank from these organizations and contribute from time to time in the preparation of these organisation’s position papers usually written as a reply to public consultations on draft legislation or draft regulation.

Swedbank staff do also from time to time participate and contribute to the work in reference groups and committees set up by the authorities in order to have a dialogue with the banking industry regarding upcoming legislation. The bank’s participation in these kind of groups is in most cases organised by one or more of the trade organisations in which Swedbank participates.

The bank also from time to time participate in direct dialogs regarding upcoming legislation and regulation with the national government services, other public authorities and legislators in its home countries and at the EU level.
 

Asset Management

Swedbank Robur is a member of and actively participates in various organisations and networks to promote good self-regulation and business ethics, as well as to remain well informed in relation to important issues in our industry and in the world.

Swedbank Robur receives information from some of these organisations and contributes from time to time in the preparation of these organisation’s position papers sometimes written as a reply to public consultations on draft legislation or draft regulation in Sweden and at EU level. Swedbank Robur participates and contributes as directors of the board and in the work of reference groups and committees in some of these organisations.

Institutionella Ägares förening för regleringsfrågor på aktiemarknaden (IÄF)

The associations purpose is to promote development for self-regulation of equity markets and is a principal of the Association for Generally Accepted Principles in the Securities Market and its specialist bodies the Swedish Securities Council, the Swedish Corporate Governance Board and the Swedish Financial Reporting Board.
